Road to WAZUKA — A Guesthouse Inspired by “Wazuka,” the Town of Uji Tea
“ Kiraku Kyoto Honmachi” is located in a lush, green corner of Higashiyama Shichijo, a neighborhood that preserves ancient history and tradition.
It is within walking distance of the Sanjūsangendō Temple and the Kyoto National Museum, making it a convenient base for sightseeing in Kyoto.
The guesthouse was conceived with the idea of creating a place that makes guests want to visit “Wazuka Town,” the main production area for Uji tea.
The master bedroom on the first floor features a space modeled after a dry landscape garden, while the living room on the second floor—designed to evoke a traditional tea room—offers a unique design that allows guests to enjoy Uji tea from Wazuka Town while gazing down at the dry landscape garden through the glass floor.
An open-air bath is set in the outdoor courtyard, where you can relax and unwind while soaking in the hot spring.
Please enjoy a special lodging experience that feels just like living in a traditional Kyoto townhouse.

The event will be held at the café “Kissako Wazuka,” located at the entrance to the alley leading to the inn.
Check-in hours are 3:00 PM–6:00 PM.
If you expect to arrive after 6:00 PM, please contact us in advance.
*Please note that on Mondays, as “Kissako Wazuka” is closed, please complete self-check-in by referring to the notification email you will receive around 1:00 PM that day.
The same applies if “Kissako Wazuka” is closed due to a temporary closure.
