Located just a 3-minute walk from Shijo Station , “ Kiraku Kyoto Rinpa” is a whole-house rental property renovated from a 100-year-old Kyoto machiya.
It’s within walking distance of Nishiki Market—the “kitchen of Kyoto”—where guests can enjoy shopping and dining, and it offers excellent access to all major tourist attractions.
The inn’s name is derived from the “Rinpa” school of art, developed by the Edo-period painter Ogata Kōrin, who had ties to Kyoto. It features a luxurious space richly adorned with art.
At the back of the tatami-floored dining kitchen on the first floor is a bath overlooking a small traditional Japanese courtyard garden, perfect for soothing the fatigue of travel.
As you ascend the staircase adorned with bamboo sculptures, you’ll discover two separate bedrooms and a tea room with glowing tatami mats.
Surrounded by art, enjoy a special time while savoring the atmosphere of a traditional Kyoto townhouse.
